Paradise Beach Shiroda

Away from the hustle-bustle of city life resides a Shiroda beach occupied with a soothing atmosphere, an array of fun activities and tons of watersports, perfect for a weekend getaway trip. Found in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra, this beach is a favorite among tourists for its long stretch of endless shore and sunny yet gentle aura. Water sports at the beach especially jet skiing, paragliding, having a joyous bath in the ocean and parasailing are very much relished by the tourists.

Redi Ganpati Mandir

The Ganapati temple of Redi is located approximately 30 km from Vengurla, in the small village of Redi, Maharashtra, India. The town in which this temple is situated contains iron ore mines and the Ganpati (Ganesha) idol was found in one of the mines near Rewati port in 1976. A local person by the name of Sadashiv Kambli supposedly visualized a buried statue of Ganesha in his dream and convinced local workers to dig out the statue from the seashore.

Yashwantgad Fort

Yashwantgad Fort is located in Redi, Maharashtra, near the Maharashtra-Goa border. It is located on a small hill North of Jaitapur creek. It is a tree-entangled ruin that looks out over the beaches of the south Maharashtra coast. The fort is located 33 km from Sawantwadi and 26 km from Vengurla. The fort is approached via crumbling gateways leading through the surrounding forest, and past a deep trench that surrounds part of the structure.

Tiracol Herritage Fort

The Terekhol Fort or Tiracol Fort, is among the most visited forts in Goa as it offers a nice laidback picnic spot to families and groups on a sojourn in Goa. It is located in the lap of River Terekhol, which makes it a perfect spot for the people passing by to have a break and enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by pleasing nature. The finger-licking good seafood of this place just adds the cherry on the top. A part of the fort has been converted into a hotel, which also houses a centuries-old church in the courtyard.

Vengurla light house

The journey takes more than two hours. The steps have been cut in the rock for climbing up from landing point. In olden days ML Vengurla rock served the station. The coastal region from Vengurla point to Niuti fort in north-west has several high rise rocks inside the sea.

Alibaug

Located just below the border of Mumbai, Alibag is a little coastal town in the state of Maharashtra. The name of the town literally means “The Gardens of Ali” and refers to the fruit orchards that were planted by Ali, an Israelite who used to live in the town during its earliest days. Owing to its convenient location by the sea, the town was regarded as an important strategic port during the British reign in India.

Ratnagiri

Famed for being the port town of Maharashtra, Ratnagiri City is located on the shores of Arabian Sea. A very big exporter of Alphonso mangoes, this place has been a very important business centre for Maharashtra. Having the Sahyadri Range on its other side, this town remains loaded with the best of nature’s bounties. Having its location on the shore, the places like the beaches, ports and lighthouses altogether add to the beauty of this town.

Malvan

A small coastal town nestled in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra, Malvan forms a popular getaway for beach buffs and adventure junkies. The beach town is settled on the Konkan coast which is sprawled over the coastal regions of Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka. In addition to being the flourishing hub for adventure sports and beach activities, Malvan also serves as a confluence point of Arabian Sea and Karli river.
